Nope. You can basically go and do what you want. The goal is to simply, grow. There are a few quests that you can get. Some basic ones are at the bulletin board, one from the apothecarist, one from the blacksmith(s). You can get some followers to help you battle. There are two dungeons other than the sewer. There's a few bosses around the main city.
I'm playing v4.3 and I noticed that the leg patterns KneeHigh_Base_Color, KneeFluff_Base_Color, ThighHigh_Base_Color, and ThighHighFluff seem to turn the crotch bright white for some reason. Is there any way to fix this?
Pretty sure you need to start over with each new version. You can keep your character's appearance by copying the string at the bottom of the Character menu, though.
Actually you can manually import save files from previous versions into new versions by finding your save on the old version in windowsnoeditor/growthrpg/saves/savegames and just move the save file to the same destination in the new build

In this folder you would want to take anything relevant but "Save0.sav", etc, are your saved files. Word of caution keeping the save file could bring bugs along with it. So, save often or start anew. Random97's comment is nice too so you at least don't lose your personalization.
I don't really see any bloom other than the sun, but then again I think I like that effect so it's usually on in any games I play. However, if you open the console using tilde "~", you can type in the command "r.BloomQuality=0" to turn it off and at least =1 to turn it back on.
So what's up with the sword in the stone? I interact with it, but it just says that it's name is "Speaker Name" and then no text. It doesn't appear in my inventory afterwards either, so how do I get it
Anyway, I found a bug in version 4.3. 1) When I increase the muscles, then the place with him chest / boobs grows twice as much if you play for a female and it's very strange. 2) When I gave my companion a drink of the growth potion, she did not increase in size and often repeated animations. I don't know if it was fixed in 4.4?
I have a big problem with the "SaveGames" folder. The saved .acid files do not appear. Just as a curiosity. I log into the game and I can see my saved game. Does anyone else have this similar situation? Because I had a problem with it. When I downloaded the 3.9 version between May and June, all the backups were preserved. But I was curious after that (end of August, 20th), that the last saved file did not save my backup afterwards. My last save was something above 10K level. The same can be said for version 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2. Something is not right with my computer. Is something missing in it?

This you can copy to the new versions as you go. The only thing you have to do is start the new version at least once to create the folder structure.
By resources do you mean computer hardware? I have a 5800x and 3070ti on an UW1440p monitor. I can get 60+ fps on epic quality settings. It uses about 60-80% of my gpu and 20% or less of my cpu. On economy settings the gpu usage falls 20-40%. If you have a basic gaming computer this game should just run fine.

I would second this. There is some armor and clothing you can wear but it's quite basic and does not work as I would intend it to. If you do happen to outgrow it either by leveling up or using skills the gear just breaks and falls off. It is not dynamic as it should be.
Hey, question: Would you be open to adding human body parts as options for the player character? I've been really liking this game for 3 or 4 months now, and I know I can't be the only person who is totally fine with anthro art but doesn't prefer it. Clearly you intend to appeal to a broad range of tastes since you've made such a rich spectrum of body types. Personally, I could really go for an almost-human pc; like a kitsune or a neko. I really hope you'll take this into consideration if it's within your skillset, not only would I (and hopefully a number of others) be grateful but it also seems to make logical sense. Either way, keep up the great work and thanks for a moment of your time!
idk if this is a problem or not but for some reasons the mustache smith wont let me sell stuff but just "talk" with him and i remeber that before i was able to do sell and buy stuff with him is there a way to fix it?
Try moving closer or further away. I've noticed that the game can be a bit picky about where you need to stand, including for different interactions with the same NPC.
Try entering a dungeon or building and then exiting out. Sometimes the game is weird and won't allow the option to buy and sell stuff from the Smith unless you do that.
After defeating someone in combat, sometimes the game will put me into an EGO growth loop and will make me have to restart the game to fix it. This sucks because sometimes i lose progress and i have to do it all over again. Hopefully this is fixed in the next update...
On top of DragonTez's picture be sure to have killed the evil Lich! From my gameplay thats when said potion shows up. If you play through the other quests or dungeons the ego potion will be a waste as you grow your ego as you play anyway, especially when enemies become stronger.
Were you trying to fight the Unusually Large Rat miniboss in the sewer dungeon in turn-based combat? The rat minion in that fight (who likes to cast Intensify) is glitched to have hundreds of turns. (Even if you're absurdly powerful and can survive that long, the fight gets stuck after you kill the minion; the miniboss powers up and then nothing ever happens.) You have to switch to realtime combat for that one fight.
no, for some reason the crashes usually happen when doing normal combat, and when intensifying it, sometimes i shieldbash my enemy it crashes, or just dont do anything and it crashes, and when using the intensify option it just makes the camera stuck in place and enemy is looped on growth animation
is this a second save file? those usually have tons of bugs and digital said they're still trying to fix it.
have you tried changing the focus mode? I find the "Focus Center" to be more convenient and a lot safer to play on.
another thing that I noticed is having a cock on your character, at least on the current free version, can sometimes cause the infinite loop to happen. I recommend you turn the "lewd" option off for now until this friday.

Just downloaded the game and this happen when just starting it. I tried to redownload three times now.
Same happened for me the first time I opened it, but it randomly worked the second time. But now it always crashes in that way so I'm totally lost
in 4.3 how do i remove the Bloom Effect its not in graphics the previous update didn't have it

In an ideal world, instead of a blank string there'd be text along the lines of "You try to pull out the sword, but you're not strong enough."

It proabably means an important value is outside its acceptable range and is causing problems.
You might have to find that value and change it manually.
Either that or the files are corrupted and you need to redownload the game.

Any graphics card with 2GB of VRAM, 8GB of RAM and a 3GHz CPU should give you enough juice to run this smoothly.

It is a good game, but it misses some things.
Here are some Ideas to make it better:
-Add a Map
-Journal Quests: Fix them. It isnt working always.
.Update quests: It was sometimes a pain to finish a quest. Give the Player some Hints.

Just find the thief and "teach him a lesson", he should be messing around with his loot.

Best I've found is wipe your save(s), delete the copy of the game, reinstall and hope it works.

it should be fixed in 4.4 you can hit escape and that will get you out of any growth animations
