this bug happened when i tried to save, also the "random crash in overworld" bug seems to be back, that button in options doesn't help anymore.
Also it seemed to be possible to crush enemies in the gator dungeon and now you can't anymore again...?
With some of the changes coming to the game is causing me some unnecessary concern. Im a level 60 and the enemies with the fencing based attacks are op (also the enemies with the bite attacks) even with the 40 block from the bust perk of the tech tree. because their first attack counts as two hits making things very frustrating trying to get to the bandit boss and or trying to by pass normal wandering enemies while trying to do objectives. Not to mention the old temporary final boss that is now a champion enemy is now broken because after their first attack they regained their original stats and make fighting them more of a nuisance than a challenge. I don't know if it can be agreed upon but that it is a bit unbalanced for newcomers. Just opening up with my sudden discoveries.
I don't quite understand how the hell I should level up at the start of the game, while all enemies are at levels higher than 60, it's almost impossible if not farm on the gym for hours and I don't want to spend hours at one place clicking one button. (I'm totally new at that game, so I'm asking for advice, please)
The way this game works is kind of "win before the battle begins". Meaning, prepare before you venture out. I've been playing this game for a while, here's some tips you might find useful:
STARTING TIPS: - Your level doesn't matter, you will probably spend most of your levels upgrading the talent tree. The real prize you're going for is Essences, which raise your stats permanently. There's a few them behind some fences around town. You don't have to spec into Muscle for those, just find/buy some Muscle Potions, drink two, and that's enough. Grab them at the start of the game for some extra power, they don't respawn.
- So, the real question is, how do you get your stats up so you can explore for essences? Well, here's a really helpful starter boost: drudge up 50 gold (loot the non-huge barrels in the house near the gate, run around and loot whatever you find on the ground, sell whatever isn't an essence). Use 25 gold at the slime to receive a boost (you want to use the slime every time you return to town), and then buy a fruit at the tree next to the Sewers. Together with the gym buff, you can start whatever dungeon you want at a much higher "level" than you would normally would be at. These buffs are only lost upon exiting a dungeon. Continued below...
- The slime will give you the buff you ask for, with access to a higher bonus as you do it more times. The fruit will buff your stats in proportion to the level of the fruit* and the stats you currently have LEVELS in (essences and other buffs aren't counted). What I do is that I choose one or two stats I want to focus on (pick any of them, but don't pick all of them at the start), and keep at least 1 point in it permanently, keeping everything else at 0. That way, when you eat a fruit, all of its buff goes towards your primary damage stat(s). * The fruit is leveled up by removing nails from roots that show at certain levels in dungeons. I don't know where they all are, but I know one can be found in the Sewers (at the well in the back of town), and another can be found pretty early in the Lich's cave (to the left after leaving town).
ESSENCES?: - Now, where do we find Essences? Early, you can find them occasionally in the Sewers and the Facade Dungeon (to the right after leaving town). Make sure to search barrels and grass as you pass by them, since they can drop empty essences. Those gray balls can be turned into an essence of your choice at the Apothecary in town, but that's really expensive. It's a little more time-consuming, but much much cheaper, to just enter either the Facade Dungeon or (later) the Ruins Dungeon and use the Fountains that show up in them. Each Fountain can convert an uncharged essence for you for free.
OTHER TIPS: - Take Dodge from the start of the Leg tree immediately. Many of the attacks in the game, especially ranged attacks, can be dodged, but only if you have this skill. Not taking it means losing a lot of battles that you otherwise would have won by just using Dodge -> <any growth skill>.
- Drop the broken sword or put it in your off-hand (it grants an exp bonus if you upgrade it). Fix the blacksmith first (either by doing the Sewers or finding the key outside) so you can buy a weapon relevant to your chosen stat.
- Size, for some reason, grants way more points for the talent tree than any other stat. Size isn't my thing, but I still tend to splurge it straight to max before anything else because it lets you easily afford the buffs on its tree, the overall tree on the left, and the first-tier buffs on the other trees. Size also unlocks an ability that increases exp gained from crushing enemies outside of battle, which significantly cuts down on farming if you end up wanting to farm the talent trees.
- Get companions. Any companion. You can use the Tavern in town to hire mooks, unlock the giant rat companion from the Sewers, find Lesser Commander and steal his peon, etc, etc. The guy in the straw hat from the tavern is the fastest to get at the start. He doesn't seem very good because he's not, but here's how this works: the more you fight with a companion, the more they will let you modify them. It doesn't take very long. A legit strategy is to grab Mr. BlankWhite, fight until you can change his stats, reallocate him to Bust, give him a lightning staff, and watch him go ham. Even better, companions tend to draw aggro, and are capable of fighting on even if you die, as long as they're still alive. They make (most of) the game much, MUCH easier.
okay probably really stupid question here but i cannot figure it out. how do i bind the skills from the skill tree? i got mind explosion but i cant figure out how to set it to a button. Am i being dumb or is there just not an explanation as to how to bind it to a button? Edit: turns out im an idiot i see it in combat now lmao
also second question, is the debug button only for the patreon version of the game?
is there a way to make the growth smooth at a slower pace other than the instantaneous growth or snail speed, that have no in-between because the sliders don't make any difference in the 2 speeds?
Does anyone know how to open the debug menu? I think I did it on accident, closed it, but I don't know how to open it back up. EDIT: I've figured it out, and I feel a little silly for missing it! Press the ` key and you'll find the debug menu
My terminology isn't up to code unfortunately but yes that's what I meant lol _(:3_ L)_
Off topic, but do you happen to know how to complete the Meat Farm questline? I defeated three roots with poison so far but I can't seem to find anymore. The journal hasn't updated and talking to Beth doesn't help
so i just gave my character 1000 ego potions with debug and his dick got so big it crashed my entire computer. very funny (oh no now he is going to bust out and keep growing!!1!) but not a good bug for a real life game to have lol
So I'm usually really into world building and when saw the addition of a lore based quest I restarted my run to start the new quest. though I gone through the sewers about twenty floors or so, (I suck at reading roman numerals) with no signs of any the missing pages. Am I looking in the wrong areas or is there something else I should be doing like opening locked chests and doors?
In the ruins & facade dungeon there is a npc called "apothecarist daiki" standing in front of the gate where you can descend to the next floor. She prevents me from opening the gate and progressing through these dungeons. I can trade and talk with her, but she only has the option to trade or transform essence.
Does anyone know how I can solve this problem? Can't find any information on this npc on the entire internet.
Edit: After checking the discord this seems to be a bug on the 6.8 version. Use debug to descend a floor until a hotfix comes.
Huh, I haven't encountered this but it should be a newbie protection or just a thing about her quest. Probably wants you to go do the slime dungeon first for the alchemist quest, I always went there first because it's easy to xp farm at the start of the game.
ok so while I am quite far, I do have a question that will probably make me look like a total noob, do the companions level up, and should I be using essence on them, and if I should be using essence on them how do I do that?
Companions do level up when you win with them accompanying you, you can also reallocate their stats and they'll keep whatever ratio you gave them. To give them essence you need to first put essence in their inventory using the button with arrows going either way at the top left of your inventory screen then use the essence from their inventory screen, and yea if you want them to actually be useful I'd recommend giving them essence and upgraded weapons.
I've looked all over to find the blacksmith's key and even looked through older threads on it, but the advice they gave is leading me nowhere. They say it's just outside of town by some bushes and the bridge, but I can't find such a place. If anyone can help, that would be appreciated. Also screenshots of the location would be great
The map has been updated, so it could be anywhere outside of town, possibly after passing the bridge, I'll be honest, I haven't seen it either, what I do know is that it has a carriage, by defeating it you will unlock the blacksmith's shop
Are you sure it's the blacksmith's key (name of it just says "Key", but the description when you mouse over it will mention the blacksmith)? Also, where did you end up finding it? Once you have the key, all you have to do is hand it over to the blacksmith by talking to him, then the Trade option will open up.
Alternatively (if you start a new save), you can just do the other blacksmith quest and ignore the key entirely.
EDIT: I was on the Patreon build, so just to make sure, I downloaded and checked for the key on the Free build, too. I found the key in the exact same place as in the screenshot.
I found the key on the path to the left after leaving town. If it's randomized, like the other guy said, I'd add that it was sitting amidst some big, conspicuous, glowing rocks and I was able to pick it up with no battle.
I have 3000+ currently on me but when I talk to the dragon the only option is nevermind, is the amount higher or is it bugged, I have no personal idea what I would do to check besides doing an entirely new playthrough and I would prefer to avoid that

I understood everything. you need to approach it often and get a buff, before each use, it grows
I tried everything but it doesn’t grow and doesn’t give any more bonuses T-T

I gave the broken doll an essence, but can't interact with them afterwards. What do I do?
you should be able to find it in the tavern in town and be able to recruit it

New bug: blacksmith doesnt reopen shop after beating the fake smith, goes through the 'thanks' dialogue and then reverts back to not having inventory
so for some reason my characters dick doesn't show up, maeby boobs and cock are incompatable but i don't know
You can add one or more penises in the character menu
okay probably really stupid question here but i cannot figure it out.

"also second question, is the debug button only for the patreon version of the game?"
Answer No, they're in both versions. You just have to defeat the temporary final boss.
ohhh i see! ty ^^
What needs to be done to make it give more ability. She always only gives me 50
You must increase your ego I remember or go up many levels
hmm, strange, I reached more than level 581 and there were more of him than me, but he gives no more than 100
is there a way to make the growth smooth at a slower pace other than the instantaneous growth or snail speed, that have no in-between because the sliders don't make any difference in the 2 speeds?

That's commands, or... no?

by the way how do you reverse the slime form?
Using the relife potion in the potion shop
does the debug mode still exist? If yes how do I unlock it?
You must defeat the final boss, it is located on the 5th floor of a dungeon which is in the bamboo labyrinth, on the coast
You will get an extra option in the configuration menu called debug mode, when you activate it and close the menu you will see a new menu added above
Thx!
so i just gave my character 1000 ego potions with debug and his dick got so big it crashed my entire computer. very funny (oh no now he is going to bust out and keep growing!!1!) but not a good bug for a real life game to have lol
hey, what debug command can you use to spawn items?
>Summon
do you know the item id for ego potions that you enter afterwards?

I like the character customizer. But I'm one easily lost.

i need it back
my dv save is gone
when I put the game in fullscreen, my mouse is offset and I can't get it out of full screen to fix it, any ideas on hoe to remedy this situation?
I advise you to make the game not take up the entire screen, but a large part of it
I've looked all over to find the blacksmith's key and even looked through older threads on it, but the advice they gave is leading me nowhere. They say it's just outside of town by some bushes and the bridge, but I can't find such a place. If anyone can help, that would be appreciated. Also screenshots of the location would be great

it's been moved to on the paths as you go left to the slime dungeon.
hey I found the little dragon guy cave, how much money do you have to give him?
1000 I think
I have 3000+ currently on me but when I talk to the dragon the only option is nevermind, is the amount higher or is it bugged, I have no personal idea what I would do to check besides doing an entirely new playthrough and I would prefer to avoid that
